Para comprar el billete de Ulan Bator a Beijing, no se puede hacer por internet. Lo que estamos haciendo es preguntar a varios hostels en donde es posible que nos alojemos para que nos lo compren ellos. Uno de los preguntados es el Zaya Hostel, en su respuesta nos adjunto un documento en el que se explican perfectamente los horarios, precios y demás de todos los trenes desde Mongolia a China.

Whether you need a national or international train ticket, the staff of ” Zaya Hostel” will be glad to arrange all your ticket orders.

To be sure to get a seat during summer time for international train tickets have to be booked earlier in advance  in January or February due Naadam Festival.
We are able to arrange  train tickets starting from  Ulaanbatar, Mongolia  only.
We charge 20USD per ticket for our service, including payment of 4,5$, which we have to pay to train ticket office as a ticket booking confirmation.

Three options to go overland to Beijing from Ulaanbaatar

A First fast option to go from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing
International trains from UB to Beijing

1. .UB - Beijing  23/24  Mongolian train  departs from UB on Thursday at 8:05, arrives in Beijing on Friday  at 14:04. From Beijing departs on Tuesday and arrives  in UB on Wednesday.
2. Additional Mongolian train 23/24 starts from 1st June departs UB on Saturday and         arrives in Beijing on Sunday. Departs Beijing on Tuesday and comes in Ulaanbaatar on Wednesday.
3.  The Chinese train 3/ 4 departs Beijing at 7:40 am on Wednesday and arrives in UB at 01:20 pm on Thursday. Arrives in Moscow on Monday This train departs Moscow on Tuesday and arrives in UB on Sunday, departs Ulaanbaatar at 8:05 and arrives in Beijing at 02:30 pm on Monday.

Please note that there are 3 international trains from Ulaanbaatar to Beijing on Thursday, Saturday No 23 and Sunday No 3. We are able too booking advance  tickets  on Thursday’s and Saturday’s trains No 23 only.
Seats on Sunday’s train No 3, which comes to UB from Moscow are controlled by Russian part. Mongolian train ticket office starts to sell tickets without booking on Saturday only, just one day before departure from Ulaanbaatar.
Train ticket price on international train from UB to Beijing depends on carriage (Russian, Chinese, Mongolian)  and type of berth in Mongolian tugrug.

Deluxe 2 berth – 200700 tugrug; Hard 4berth – 131000 tugrug; Soft 4 berth ( Sunday’s train No 3  only)- 184430 tugrug (Price confirmed on March 3d, 2009)

Second option to go to Beijing from Ulaanbaatar
Lcal Train from UB to Jining, from Jining  to Beijing

A local train  from UB to Huh hot No 34 departs UB at 20:00 on Monday, Friday and on the way to Huh Hot stop at Jining  city at 19.30 next day (then goes from19.45 to a last stop Huh hot city and arrives in Hoh hot at 21.45). Connection  train from Jining to Beijing is a  different another Chinese  local train which departs from  Jining to Beijing at 23:00 and arrives in Beijing next day at 7:00 am.

A Third option to go to Beijing from Ulaanbaatar
A local Mongolian train from Ulaanbaatar to Erlian , from Erlian  a sleeping Chinese bus from Erlian to Beijing.

The local train from UB to Chinese border city Erlian   departs at 20:00  on Mon and Friday .Ticket price (confirmed on May 2009) is 49500 tugrog.. The price of ticket on Thursday and Sunday’s trains 46500 Tugrug (2008 year,summer). This train comes in Erlian at 11:00 am.  A sleeping bus departs Erlian  everyday at 15:00 to Beijing  at  15:00  and arrives in Beijing in the next morning at 6:00. Ticket price for a sleeping bus 230yuanx(2008 year).
